Edcite is focused on providing teachers an easy way to create Common Core assignments that fit their class. We support Smarter Balanced and PARCC question-types, including ELA passage highlighting, dynamic Math graphs and image labeling. Teachers can easily share assignments in the Edcite Library; where other teachers can discover & tailor these to fit their own classes. Teachers save time not only in assignment creation but also in reviewing student responses using our automated grading and feedback features.
Vocabulary critical to the Common Core Standards English Worksheets Land is the creation of 17 teachers. When the Common Core Standards began being implemented in schools, we felt a little lost. The curriculum got flipped upside down in some of our States. In others, teaching became more like acting. We basically read from a script all day. Looking for resources that were aligned to the Common Core for Language Arts became impossible. That's when we knew we had to do something to help teachers every where. Every month we create new worksheets for you to enjoy. All of our work is directly created in response to the English Language Arts Common Core Standards. Each section, grade level, and topic is aligned to the Core Standards. A free web portal designed to assist anyone who wants to find high-quality, free Internet resources to use in classroom instruction, developing project ideas, reinforcing specific subject matter areas both in the class and at home and even for online technology tutorials. The portal is used by teachers, parents and students of all ages on six of the seven continents (there are not many classrooms in Antarctica) and is available to anyone with an Internet connection.
Current event texts in multiple lexile levels in different content areas
Nonfiction authors read sections of their books. Reading to children has been repeatedly shown to improve their reading, writing and communication skills, logical thinking, concentration and general academic aptitude… as well as inspire a love of reading. The Screen Actors Guild Foundation records well-known actors reading children’s books and makes graphically dynamic videos so that children around the world can be read to with just the click of a Storyline Online video book image.
Site that offers some free PD links with great content. This is where I got the Donalyn Miller keynote. There are lots of other great speakers and material on the Gathering button.
Provides innovative ways for educators to learn together. You can join groups on different topics to share ideas and ask questions. Great resource to improve your instruction and get resources.
